Who am I?
My name is Joanna and I moved out to Seattle in the summer of 2007. I’m originally from Wyoming, so there are some aspects of living in a big city that were a huge change, such as public transportation, bad traffic, and a higher cost of living. Despite moving to a city that has the same number of residents as the state I grew up in, moving out here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been a crazy ride getting to this point, but definitely the adventure of a lifetime and wouldn‘t trade it for the world. I’ve learned a lot about living in true community, unconditional love, and grace from God, others and myself. I still have a long ways to go and lots more to learn, but am so thankful for God’s grace and those around me.
I love laughing, coffee, hugs, hanging out with friends, good food, theology, tattoos, music, knitting and a good bottle of wine. My faith in God is the cornerstone of who I am, even when I’m wrestling with how I fit in the big picture. Life is messy, but I know that is the best way to grow.
